Michael Jackson release party & pinball greatness

Oh yeah! I attended the Michael Jackson release party for his new and upcoming album Xscape earlier this week. The show was hosted by Sony Mobile at the top of the city at the venue 'Stratos'.

Stratos only opened up for about 100 people this night, so it was fairly exclusive. They played through the whole album two times, and a couple of people who actually contributed to the album were there that night. Since Justin Timberlake played in town the next day, his dancers also contributed a bit to the party.

Getting ready to go in

Even though I now prefer to listen to metal, I have a soft spot for Michael Jackson. It was actually his music that gave me permanent tinnitus. I grew up with the albums 'Bad' and 'Dangerous' and love the rhythms and beats that he made in the late-eighties early nineties. Although his latest albums haven't been all that great, this album had a nice feel to it.

View from the venue

I didn't have time to eat before the show, because of a challenge that I had to finish (hopp i havet), so I went berserk on the tapas.

Even the elevator ceiling was decorated!

Me trying to blend in

You should check out the album to see if you like it yourself. Listen to the Youtube song above, it features the first single from the album, namely 'Love never felt so good' featuring Justin Timberlake.

When I was on my way to the car after the party, I noticed that I had parked close to a 'pinball pub' called Tilt. This place has a few pinball machines and shuffle boards. Not too long ago they also added a few old school arcade machines.

The good old Rampage

I took Pac-Man for a spin

This was my first time playing this game, and unfortunately I can't remember the name of the game...

I really enjoy pinball machines. My absolute favorite table of all time is 'Medieval Madness' by Williams.

In this table you can beat trolls and destroy castles with a small ball. What more can you ask for?

Michael Jackson and pinball in one day = awesome day!

No more excuses! Push push push!
