Upper Body Workout With Nils Fredrik + Posing

Nils Fredrik and I have worked out together again. This time we tried Elixia Ringen, and went on to get some pump in our upper bodies.

Each exercise was done with 4 sets of 15 (or as close as possible) repetitions. The goal was to have short breaks, meaning less than 90 seconds. When you go to the gym with friends the breaks tend to get a bit longer than they should, but it wasn't too bad this time. This week our focus was good, and we got to do all that we were supposed to do. We started with dumbbell incline chest press.

Exercise 1: Dumbbell Incline Chest Press

First repetition

Last repetition
As you can see from Nils Fredrik's chest presses, it gets a bit tougher at the end of the set. 15 repetitions can be a struggle!

Exercise 2: Cable Crossover

Cable crossover is a great exercise for the days you have planned many repetitions. You can easily get a great pump, and it's good way to close the gap between your chest muscles.

Exercise 3: Cable Lower Chest Raise

The cable lower chest raise is a bit similar to cable crossover, but you put the focus on a different part of the chest. When doing several exercises that utilize the same muscles groups, it's good to choose exercises that puts the tension on different parts of the the muscles used.

Exercise 4: Dumbbell Bicep Curls

I love dumbbell bicep curls! It's easy for me to channel the energy needed to perform well. Nils Fredrik told me I looked so angry that he was afraid I was about to kill someone. Close call Nils!

Exercise 6: Side Lateral Raise

Nils Fredrik tries as hard as he can to do side lateral raises. They're really tough, and I tend to struggle a bit on shoulder exercises. Man I hate days where I focus on shoulders!

Exercise 7: Triceps Pushdown

We also fed the pythons with some triceps pushdown. I like to end my triceps workout with this one, and you can feel the pump immediately.

Posing posing posing:

Nils Fredrik did a bit of posing, so I had to try it myself as well. I still have a some work to do on my posing technique, but who cares? :-?

No more excuses! Push push push!
