Day 1 - New Workout Routine


Today is the first day with the new workout routine that Nils has come up with. It's day 1, and it's already time to go heavy!

When the time is right, I will share the program here on the blog. We just need to try it out first, and check that it sits right with us. The next few days will therefore just be a brief walkthrough of that days workout.

We had 5x5 on the benchpress in the program, and it became quite clear that Nils is the strong one (there wasn't really any doubt...). He benched and easy 130, while I lay just under 100 for all sets. Give me a few weeks, and I should be able to manage 100+ on all 5x5!





From the bench press we went on to lateral bench press in the Smith machine, bench press with dumbbells, and finally onto flyes with dumbbells. In the end we also did some cross-over cables to maximize the pump in the chest. Sweet!


After the ridiculous amount of torture on the chest, it was time to punish the biceps. EZ bar curls, biceps curls and hammercurls were the recipe for success today.
