Krav Maga Seminar - Grading - Brown Belt 3rd Stripe

I've been practicing Krav Maga for quite a few years now, and for those of you who don't know what it is, it is a non compromise self defense system. Everything is allowed, and by everything, they really mean EVERYTHING! This includes biting, ball busting, aiming for eyes and throat etc. plus tons of brutality. The system is meant to be the most effective self defense you can learn, and is highly recommended for girls to learn.

I've written a couple of posts before about Krav Maga, which you can read here and here.

The seminar started with all of us practicing a few basic techniques, with focus on movement. Not my strongest skill, so definitely beneficial. After a while we divided into groups were we practiced knife defense, ground techniques, kicks and punches. We spent half an hour on each post, and I was so exhausted when we were done!

Everybody that was up for grading had a piece of duct tape with a number on their arms. This way each trainer could see if we did our best, and were skilled enough during the seminar. Even though there is an official grading at the end of the seminar, each person was evaluated continually during the seminar with points. This way you can get a fair evaluation of you skills based on a whole day, not just half an hour at the end of the day.

The last half an hour with grading came, and I managed to pull through. Oh boy was I tired, but I managed! And I was so freakin' happy!

Brown belt 3rd stripe! Next level is the black belt! Here I come!

No more excuses! Push push push!
